Rain drops are pure by nature and do not contain minerals or dirt, therefore they will dry without leaving any residue on your windows. The rain will only affect your windows if heavy rain falls, splashing dirt from the ground or runs off dirty frames onto the glass, or wind blows debris. If the screens are dirty, rain will transfer the dirt to the windows. Regular cleaning of screens and frames allows the glass to stay cleaner for longer.

It depends on the severity. As the tap water passes through pipes and fixtures in your home and evaporates, it can leave behind hard water stains. These stains are caused by the high levels of calcium carbonate in the water. Over time this limescale builds up on the glass in what looks like white droplets. If windows or pool fencing are often sprayed with the hose, staining can occur. In mild cases the surface limescale can be scrubbed off but if not regularly cleaned the limescale etches the glass and causes permanent damage which cannot be removed. If you have hard water staining we can arrange to inspect and estimate to include this is your service.
Screen burn is a hard to remove staining on windows that have aluminum screens attached. Just like steel rusts, Aluminum screens oxidize when exposed to the weather, forming a light-colored, crusty oxide. The deposits move from the screen to the glass and build up when the windows aren't washed for several years and the screens are left in place year-round. We are able to treat the glass and remove the screen burn and can discuss the extra costs for this service.
